Be Part of the Solution

The founding concept of Project Access is to develop and sustain a private practice network of volunteer physicians and healthcare providers to increase healthcare access.

Dallas County Medical Society
Physicians across Dallas County have volunteered in Project Access by seeing a limited number of patients in their offices. DCMS assigns and tracks appointment "donations," so no volunteer physician receives more patients than he or she authorizes.

Dallas Academy of Medicine

Funding is managed through the Dallas Academy of Medicine, DCMS’ charitable foundation, created in 1974. DAM is a 5.01(c)(3) charity and can receive tax-deductible donations.

Central Dallas Ministries
CDM is a faith-based organization providing a wide variety of services to low-income central/downtown Dallas residents, including medical, dental, legal and educational services. CDM will provide Community Care Coordination services to Project Access patients, which includes referring patients to physicians and appropriate social service agencies, and providing education and support in managing healthcare issues.

Health Texas Provider Network

HTPN is a physician-led group practice with 325 physicians. It has actively supported CDM through the Volunteers in Medicine program it created, and it has provided physician leadership for Project Access. HTPN will collect "claim forms" from volunteer physicians, providing volunteers and participating hospitals a certified record of their contribution to the project.

Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council
DFWHC is the hospital association for North Texas, providing comprehensive advocacy and services to area hospitals. DFWHC will coordinate the support and involvement of local hospitals in Project Access.

Dozens more area organizations have supported Project Access’ development.
