Project
Access Dallas Qualifications
- Patient
must be a Dallas County resident – U.S. citizenship not required.
- Patient
does not have health insurance of any kind and is not eligible for Medicare,
Medicaid, SCHIP, Parkland Health Plus or VA benefits.
- Income
– 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline (see chart).
- Someone
in the household works or if the patient is unemployed, the time period
should not exceed 6 months.
- 5. Initial enrollment is for a one year. An extension may be granted,
pending continued eligibility and continued treatment and/or medications.
However, it is the patient’s responsibility to call the Project
Access Dallas Patient Help Line at 214-563-2541 for an extension to
be re-enrolled. For more informatiion, call Janie Ortega, Patient Enrollment
Coordinator at 214-413-1442.

Covered Services:
- Primary episodic and preventive healthcare services at
participating Project Access Dallas charity health clinics or participating
Project Access Dallas physician offices
- Hospitalization must be pre-approved. Hospital may bill
patient as self pay.
- Limited diagnostic tests, lab work, and X-rays
- Limited pharmacy benefits at participating Caremark
pharmacies
- Access to Community Health Navigation
